Mental Health & Wellbeing
At Three Peaks Primary Academy we aim to promote a positive mental health and wellbeing for our whole community (children, staff, parents and carers, governors, and volunteers). We recognise the importance of mental health and emotional wellbeing in the same way as physical health. We recognise the importance of children’s mental health in their overall wellbeing and affects this can have to their learning and development.
We have a supportive and caring ethos which echoes our approach in being respectful and kind to each other, where each individual contribution is valued.
We recognise the importance of our role to ensure children learn about what they can do to maintain positive mental health, what affects their mental health, how they can help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and how they can access help and support. We achieve this through our commitment to establish an effective and relevant curriculum that covers mental health related issues.
